Hi everybody, thanks in advance for any advice/insight you have!
1. Your Budget: $1500 for just the tower unit, I already have monitor, keyboard, etc.
2. Expectations: I am a hardcore Lord of the Rings Online player, and can easily play 30+ hours most weeks. So my #1 concern is that my new rig can play LotRO without crashing for 8+ hours at a time. (I realize there's always gonna be a random crash every once in a while, I mean just not on a daily basis). I'll be playing on a monitor with 1920x1080 resolution. My second main concern is that the pc will run Adobe Soundbooth CS5, though I'd think almost any new pc would run that program ok. (I checked Adobe's website and this build is well within the system requirements for Soundbooth).
3. Usage: Besides LotRO, other games I play a lot are Starcraft 2 and Left for Dead. I also am a heavy MS Office user for my job. I do some video editing/encoding too. 4. Special Needs: I have two cats, so cat hair has been a slight issue over the years with my computers, though I use compressed air regularly to keep things clean inside the case. In summary, the three big things I am trying to get out of this build are stability, value, and the ability to play LotRO. Here's what I came up with: Ticket Number: 490893 Edited by mrtoad - 27 Feb 2011 at 9:06pm |
