Budget:
[2.5-2.6K Build]

Expectations:
[To have Stable 60 FPS Gaming on a 1920x1080 (which will be upgraded later) w a second screen, some future proofing, along with space to upgrade ]

Usage:
[Daily]

Special Needs:
[Longevity is a must. I can only really afford to buy a system about every 5-8 years :(.

No/low noise is another must, but I'll take some noise in exchange for longevity.

It must be able to contend with dust. No matter how hard I try my apartment is dusty :(.

Lastly, in this build, I don't storage drive, as I have SSHD in my current machine I will xfer over.

Also if there are any nifty bits, or recommendations that might be gained by waiting abit. I can. As I intended to wait for DS's next free shipping sale anyhow . ^_^]

Hi Servercat2..... For the best in quiet and dust management the Slade 550d is the best here.    Good pick.

I would change the B1 power supply to the other EVGA750 watt or 850watt psu for a better, more efficient supply with much longer warranty.   Best for longevity.

Drop overclock to stage 1.   Doubtful you'd get much over 4.4 of stage 1, the performance is negligible and less heat means quieter system.

Looks good.

Sorry to hijack this but I am going for a very similar system and am wondering if the 980 Ti class GPU is really worth the money. My current monitor is max res 1920 x 1200. As such I am wondering if it is better to get the 970 (best next lower value point) and wait to get pascal and a new monitor down the road, or splurge on 980 Ti now.

Also do you know what exact model the EVGA750 watt upgrade is? I am thinking it is the G2 but not sure.

According to the specs, it has 4x 12v rails at 20a each. That would be the G1. The G2 has single rail at 62 amp, I believe.

I have a gtx 970 playing everything maxed on a 1080p.   For the near future, the 980ti wouldn't be needed for most gaming.   970 is best price per performance imho for 1080p.
