I have a 1 TB drive not even half full, with a dozen plus games and hundreds of photos and 4 years of files, updates, etc.    Depends your usage and if you never remove old, finished games.

If you hoard videos or music over the space of years... not just collect and store, but "hoard", then you'll want the 4TB.

My two year old system (2 this month!!) has a 1TB HDD and a 128G SDD. I have about 2 dozen games of various sizes and a moderate music collection.

I'm in no hurry to get more storage because at this time it's not needed.

I just ordered a new Apollo (stage 3). I ordered a 250GB SSD and a 1TB HDD. I have a 250GB SSD from my old machine that I'll put into the new system. I'll use one of the SSDs for the OS and the other for specific resource-heavy games.

Really difficult for anyone to give you a response when we have no idea what your storage needs are. For all I know, a USB stick might be enough

Hi jim1174,

I suggest you get a 2Tb and if you fill it up in a couple of years you can add a second 2Tb. This will give you the storage you need but still keeps the cost down if you don't need all of that storage.

I would be surprised if a 256SSD and a 1Tb HDD was not enough for most people. I had one 1Tb drive and no SSD for almost six years and never used more than 250Gb of storage. I don't store music so that would make a difference if you do.

I'm pretty sure FrankW means 2Tb and not 2Gb since it will fill up real quick.Oops
