Topic: A question on DIMM Posted: 06 Mar 2015 at 2:20pm |
I wanted to order another 16G of RAM, taking my Vanquish to 24G total. It has 8G now (4G X2). The RAM it has now is ADATA XPG V2. http://www.adata.com/index.php?action=product_feature&cid=5&piid=220&lan=en Upon looking at that site and clicking on order info I find two different 'types'. AX3U1600W8G9-DGV DDR3-1600 8GB * 2 CL9-9-9-24 AX3U1600W8G9-DMV DDR3-1600 8GB * 2 CL9-9-9-24 My question is this: What are the -DGV and -DMV ? I can't find a straight answer. As always, thanks for any help. |

Looking at the numbers between ADATA DIMMs on Newegg, it looks like it is just the color of the heat-sink. DGV = Gold and DMV = Gray.

Thanks. That's what I thought but wanted to make sure before I ordered. I replaced slow RAM on my ******* computer and had to change the timing because it had a different type of chip and wanted to be sure before I ordered the DGV. |
