I wanted to order another 16G of RAM, taking my Vanquish to 24G total. It has 8G now (4G X2).

The RAM it has now is ADATA XPG V2.

Upon looking at that site and clicking on order info I find two different 'types'.

AX3U1600W8G9-DGV DDR3-1600 8GB * 2 CL9-9-9-24
AX3U1600W8G9-DMV DDR3-1600 8GB * 2 CL9-9-9-24


My question is this: What are the -DGV and -DMV ?

I can't find a straight answer.

As always, thanks for any help.

Looking at the numbers between ADATA DIMMs on Newegg, it looks like it is just the color of the heat-sink. DGV = Gold and DMV = Gray.

Thanks. That's what I thought but wanted to make sure before I ordered.

I replaced slow RAM on my ******* computer and had to change the timing because it had a different type of chip and wanted to be sure before I ordered the DGV.
