So - I came into possession of a 450gb SSD today - my system hasn't even arrived yet - wondering how difficult itd be to add this in as a third HD - suggestions?

It should be fairly easy depending on what system you purchased. If you are lucky DS ran some extra power/interface cables to a few of your spare bays. If not you should at least get the cables and you just have to run them and plug them in.
