everyone here knows my input would be to go with the X99 for your needs. you might want to increase your ram to 32GB. i've heard people max out 16GB specifically for what you plan on using it for and quantity over speed will probably better suit your needs. drop down to the standard Corsair 2666 32GB kit.

As someone who edits videos a lot and uses the Adobe Suite to do it (Premiere Pro and After Effects CC), I recommend the X99 build.
Those apps love to eat up RAM and can utilize the extra cores. |

If you're doing 4K+ video editing, you're definitely going to want the extra memory bandwidth and capacity offered in the X99 platform. I agree with db188, you're going to want to focus on more RAM than faster RAM here. You should either drop the 1TB drive (if you have external storage) or bump it up in capacity, too...raw video files take up a lot of space.
