I know this should go in some subtopic or something, but can anyone tell me whether I should wait for a 980TI Strix Edition and get some substitute graphics card for my Apollo or should I just get a 980TI and forget about the ASUS fan control? I will be getting a Z97 Mark 2 Mobo. I am getting Water cooling for my Apollo. Thanks guys

I personally like the cards with '0' speed fans.   They stay off until a certain temp, some at 60C and 67C, and are quiet even when they switch on.  Going by the 970 experience.   Plus some have the back-plate for rigidity and looks and the board's themselves are a step up with nice oc.   

But, any of the 980TI will give great performance, so it's really a personal decision.  

The mobo and all in one cooler won't be a decision maker.   Either the reference 980Ti or Strix will fit and work just fine.
