Looks like I finally have my monitor set up.
PG348Q as my main, the PB287Q and the PG258Q. Thank god the 1000 series are killer at high res... of course I'll need some Ti Class or Titans to be able to truly utilize this. But all that aside, have you guys read about the PG258Q yet?

Up at those refresh rates >200Hz, I can only imagine many people are going to experience coil whine.

it was my general takeaway if i remember right (it's been awhile) that at that high a refresh rate it's virtually wasted on most people, at least when talking about going from already fast 144Hz monitors.

It's never a waste. I truly believe if you put a 60hz, 100hz, 144hz, and 240hz in front of me, I could identify which is which.

With training or genes some people can see and hear more wavelength. With age we lose some of that acuity. For all, I imagine it fills the spectrum even when not appreciably noticeable. For some of us, it is like when music CDs started out and vinyl still sounded fuller. At some point, however, it is really meaningless. (Except for cats. They can see a fly's wings moving in flight!)

Easy there, Hoserator. Just because you're turning 90, and the lights starting to dim, doesn't mean you have to rain on my 240hz parade. ;)
If you were an Android, Snaike.. And I knew but you didn't, would you want me to tell you? |
