Caveat:
I guess you went with the bare minimum on the choices if not completely deleted so you are going to use your own OS drive and gpu(s)[monitor resolution will have an input in which model]. No sense in upping the warranty. You could get the cheaper air cooler and switch to a Noctua while you are adding the rest but the choice is reputed to be good. Did I pass? |

Since you're new to the forums, let me set up some ground rules...
We need to know the budget We need to know the monitor resolution. We need to know it's usage. After that......No storage ? That could prove interesting. Looks good to me and Noctua for sure. |

There are two kinds of rigs.
Those with Noctua, and those that should have had Noctua. |

When Noctua can make custom cooling blocks that are better than EK, then we can talk. ;) |

Hey Meller. When anyone can make a water cooled system that is 100% zero maintenance and 100% problem free, then we can talk. That’s the attraction of Noctua. And it is quiet and cools to meet the needs of most gamers.

Even air systems aren't 100% zero maintenance. But we aren't talking about taking care of your system. We are talking performance.
When Noctua makes water blocks as good as EK, then we can say there are two types of rigs. Ones with Noctua and ones that should have Noctua. That's like saying "When there's a car with zero maintenance then come talk to me. That's the attraction of owning a bicycle." Sure the bike get's the job done, but a car is far superior, but you do need to take basic care of it. Just like a water cooling loop, once every 12-18 months you have to spend an hour of your day doing basic maintenance. Just like with air cooling, once a year, you need to take an hour of your day to blow out dust and clean filters. It's just one you're use to and one you're not. So you deter from the unknown. *inserts overly used rolling laughing emoji's for some unknown reason because... logic* |

Meller you know damn well we are talking about aio vs noctua and not proper lc loop with ek blocks.
So its not car vs bike, its bike vs bike and noctua wins. Surely you are not implying that me and bp don't know the difference between air and proper loop Also maintenance/reliability is part of performance, maybe not to you, but it is to rest of us. Edited by DST4ME - 09 Oct 2017 at 12:32pm |

Love the cupcakes.
Noctua owes myself, Tidgxor and DST some cash for years of endorsements. As far as full water vs AIO, my past attempt to differentiate was to call AIO , liquid, and Hydrolux for example as water. AIO , I include the Swiftech units. OK, back to watching CNN do nothing but trash Trump. |

Basically one is AIO and the other is Custom loop.
