So when I bought the Aura it said it came with an adapter to wall mount the Aura. Does anyone know of the right mount to buy to successfully mount it?
Also I don't know if it would be possible to mount it like you would a standard monitor? I just want to keep a clean appearance on my desk. Thanks! Edited by BIGxOZ - 02 Aug 2016 at 2:33pm |

I'm not sure contact DS but I would guess it depends on the adapter you got.

If I had to guess Id say its most likely a VESA 100 mount, but I would definitely contact DS to know for sure

So I contacted them and they were a bit confused and even got back to me saying "I dont think the Aura is mountable." It says right on the Aura page that it is mountable... Maybe I will be the first one to get the Aura, which kind of worries me.

Checked out the page, it says "Included, VESA compatible wall mount adapter." Given that its basically a beefed up 34" monitor its definitely going to be a VESA 100 mount.

Can you send me a link to where I can purchase one? Preferably something off of Amazon and I don't know if it would be possible to get a mount that would attach to my desk and not my actual wall? Thanks guys! |

Yes you can get monitor mounts that attach on your desk, I use some for my 2nd and 3rd monitors currently to reduce clutter and be able to move them around more freely. The issue you are going to run into is finding desk mounts that 1)are designed to fit 34" monitors and 2)are capable of holding the weight of the Aura. Most of the monitor mounts that attach to the desk are rated for ~25 lbs max and unfortunately the Aura weight ~50 lbs. The closest I managed to find was this $150 dollar heavy duty mount that tops out at 44 lbs. |

You may need to remove the motherboard...it may be right behind it:
This may dictate very specific limitations to the physical dimensions and movement of any mount you use (namely an arm that extends out perpendicular reaching into the case through a small opening to the mounting plate that is partially obscured by the motherboard.) |

Once you receive the Aura unit, it will make sense on how to mount it, you basically do not use the standard stand with legs, and instead mount the VESA bracket to it.
The Aura is a relatively new product, so our staff may not be fully aware of it's capabilities, I'll inform them. We have sold a decent number of Aura units, you are not the first customer. |
