I know there is a monitor thread stickied but without having to pour through all those posts, what monitors is everyone using and how do you like them? I am using a 24" Asus 1080p right now and thinking of getting a 27" 1440p when my new rig gets here.
On a side note how does a 27" look at 1080p? Thanks |

currently running 3x Asus 23" 120Hz TN monitors in NV Surround for the past 4 years. i'm ready to upgrade with my next computer purchase to a 21:9 1440p 34" IPS G-Sync curved monitor running at ~100Hz.
once i went ultra wide screen i couldn't go back. Edited by db188 - 17 Sep 2015 at 3:50pm |

The benefit of ASUS PB278Q 1440p is being able to have a 27" monitor with same or higher pixel density as 21-23" 1080p. However, there's no point in that, since 23" is a more fitting screen size for competitive gaming.

Going from 1880p to 1440p would be nicer since 1440p would give you good screen look as it have more pixels. That may make dark colors. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB would be too good for 1440p monitor as it require only 2GB GPU. Upgrading Monitor with same GPU would not make much difference but in that case you might need to get SLI. I would recommend you to go with Dell 27” S2716DG Monitor.
