For 4k, 60+ FPS gaming would it be better to run Titan XP in SLI or go for a 1080 Ti SLI?
I'm torn with building a new PC and trying to decide the best approach! Thanks!

I'm looking to purchase an X34 predator monitor and the new ASUS 27 inch monitor in the link above to be able to game at 3440 x 1440 flawlessly.

That resolution isn't 4k, but ultrawide 1440p. A big difference in graphics card needed.   A single 1080 ti will do it.   Titan xp is a stronger by a small amount but not worth the extra money.

A lot of games don't scale in sli.   Here's a link that compares sli 1080 ti with 4 k, etc.

Hope this helps.

I have a system with two 1080 ti's in sli. While it is great to have the power one will serve you well in 3440x1440.i have a dell 3440x1440 monitor and I can run pretty much any game 60+fps at max settings. However since games are so poorly optimized for sli my second card usually isn't even used in 90% of the cases.

The new Acer Predator X27 is 4k @ 3440 x 2160.

I would think that I would at least need to SLI GPU's to get 144HZ and above 100+ FPS right?

I think you should use Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPU for gaming. It is one of the best GPU for gaming. You can try it atleast once.Nvidia

For that monitor (Acer Predator X27, when it comes out), you will need 2x1080Ti in SLI for its full use, like bpratt22 says. Haven't read about theoretically running high fps, everything /ultra with only one card but.....its only time.Big%20Smile Of course, by then we'll be talking about 8K!
