Bottleneck the GTX1070?

Question was raised from another forum, so I'll ask here.

Will the GTX1070 be able to work and play well with the I5 4570 3.20Gz?

The only two upgrades I plan on making to the Vanquish 2 Ultimate is the GTX1070 and doubling the RAM to 16Gb.

i've seen tests Snaike and from the data it doesn't appear to me that any bottlenecking of a modern high end gpu will occur with a modern quad core.  there's some cases of bottlenecking when dropping down to a dual core or when adding multiple gpu configs (say 3 and 4 extremely powerful cards like Titan's).  i wouldn't worry about it with a single 1070/1080 tbh.

Thanks for that info.

If I were to add multiple GPUs it wouldn't be in this case, I'd be starting over with my new AVENTUM 3 that Alex is holding for me... RIGHT ALEX!?

Just to second... No problem.     Its base clock is 3.2 but turbos to 3.6 , so a decent speed.   Plus, modern CPU, even my 5 year old 2500k, do just fine.   

What a bump, or should I say, leap, you'll get with the 1070.

Thanks for the replies. This is exactly what I'm looking for, basically a new machine for the cost of a card and some RAM, yet still the same box I've been extremely happy with since I brought it home.

FYI Snaike, you'll know when it's your turn to get an Aventum as soon as I post I got mine. Alex has been holding one for me since back when it was still just the Aventum. Every Christmas and every birthday, I keep thinking he's going to finally send it... he hasn't yet. Been asking for years.

No no.. I distinctly remember you signing off on the Aventum in order to get the EllerLux named after you. If I recall correctly you said something about your name living on long after the machine would be obsolete, so they put me first in line.
