I'm using the excellent Acer XB270HU. 2560 x 1440, 144Hz, Gsync.

(I think the current version is XB271HU).

Gaming is excellent. Picture is vibrant. Beautiful monitor.

Cost me $700 though.

Hi Demonic,

That is a nice build. I have put together an alternate build for you consideration. The big difference with my build is a different case and both GPUs and the CPU are water cooled. I have also added a fan controller system and a lighting system with multiple colors. You pick the color you want to use. The cooler system that is used has a 360 rad and should fit at the top of the Apollo case. I also picked a black case but a white case is also available. I included a level one Overclock. I changed your SSD from the EVO to the newer and better performing M2 Samsung 950 SSD. This will give you faster performance and is mounted on the motherboard. It is a NVME drive but only 512Gb.

This build is intended to give you some options to consider. Personal preference always plays a part in your choices. Since we are under budget you might consider increasing your warranty a year or two. The standard warranty only gives you one year of parts replacement.

Frank

FrankW makes some good recommendations.

The Samsung 950pro is an awesome SSD and water cooling the GPUs will allow you to get more FPS out them than they already produce.

Demonic just check that FrankW didn't include wireless internet in his config, not sure if you needed it.

Thanks for the advice on the monitor. That wireless card was optional can settle for a usb one.

@FrankW  thanks a lot for the advice! You're set-up is probably what I'll go with.

a little advice regarding your internet setup:  use some of that dough to upgrade your wireless (unless you're going to be plugged in via ethernet).  stay away from USB wireless dongles (they're all junk).  get yourself a good AC1900 dual band router from Asus or TPLink and pair it with the same wireless card from either of those two vendors.
