Few things.
the bolt has basically no airflow via fans. there is no pc that you can use for the next 4 years without upgrades for the next 4 years, if you don't believe me go ask people that got sli 780s. The way gpus work is that you get what you need now and about 2 years you upgrade the gpu to stay at max settings in your fav games. So for your res looks like you already figured out that all you need is a 1060: Click Image To Go To Configuration Page |

Im looking more towards the appolo now. Looking at the difference between builds you have the i7-6700k 4.0GHz while I have the 6700 3.6GHz. Im not really looking to overclock but at the same time I dont know that much about it at the moment. Looking at my usage goals is it something i should be looking at and will it give me much more performance?
And the 16gb ram vs the 8gb ram. Since most games right now only require 8 is this for future proofing? |

Imagine if I could make your brain think much faster without any side effects, that is ocing your cpu.
the cpu is the brain of your system, the faster it can think, the faster your pc is in all tasks. In gaming it helps not as much as gpu, but it mainly helps with cpu bottleneck. 16GB of ram is for future games and etc yes, its a cheap easy upgrade. keep in mind my build is gonna be around 4.4GHz the 6700 is at 3.4Ghz not 3.6GHz. So my system will eat your system up for a snack when it comes to processor speed. |

only other thing if you like I would either ask DS do or would do myself is add 3 x 140mm/120mm fans to the top of the apollo since it does not come with those 3 fans on top.
If you go with extra fans request that DS changes all case fans and connects all your fans to the mobo so you can control them via free software. This way we can control the fans without needing anything else (aka fan controller and etc). Edited by DST4ME - 28 Aug 2016 at 2:47am |
