Hi Sup3rvillian.... For your budget the Vanquish level 3 is just right. It'll play most games on a 1080 p monitor at high to max settings, depending on the game.
If you get into the other custom builds, you'll be paying more for the same performance, and over your budget. If you can swing a little more, the Vanquish level 4 will give you about 40% better frames, an overclocked cpu and a better cpu cooler and an SSD for faster boot times. Under the Vanquish section there is a Benchmark that gives you an idea with four games. Good Luck. Edited by bprat22 - 04 Mar 2015 at 11:49am |

Upgrades shouldn't be a problem except maybe memory as that motherboard only takes 2DIMMs with 16GB max.
I agree with Bprat, if you can save a bit more and go with the level 4 it would definitely be worth it. I started by looking at the lvl 3 because I had that money but I saved up for the level 4 and it erased my concerns about the lvl 3 and has proved a wise investment. |

Vanquish II Ultimate.
I was laying in bed looking up at the stars and wondered "where is my ceiling?" |

Yep, the mobo in Vanquish level 3 doesn't allow for overclocking, sli or more than 16gb ram. But for most that's not an issue at this price point.
Everything in there is swappable. |
