how long does it normally take to get out of stage 1 on a pre configured system such as the Vanquish ? site info is confusing on them one area says ships within 5 days another says 5 to 10 business days.

I believe the Vanquish do not go through the normal 7 stages of build as custom.   Usually goes form stage 1 to stage 7, being pre-built.

Well when I called to order was told there not prebuilt but preconfigured .
I disappointed in notv receiving any status updates would think even though it's a budget build that itv woukd be treated the same.
Think there's lots on their site that needs updating. .

I understand you're excited to receive the VANQUISH 4 as quickly as possible. I do see that we processed your order on Friday last week, and at the end of today will be the 2nd business day mark. We normally ship these units within 5 business days. Many of them are usually ready to ship, but take a few days for our team to setup and configure with your name, run final benchmarks, do a final QA check, package, and ship to you.

I'm positive we'll get this unit our as quickly as possible.

Also, regarding stuff that needs to be updated, please, notify me via email "[email protected]" and I will be more than happy to look into this.

Ok I know I saw the build stages listed someplace and for the life of me can not locate them now that was listed out 1 through 7 and what goes on at each stage maybe this can be posted as a sticky by a moderator just a suggestion

Stage 1: (Payment Processed)
Your order has been successfully processed. Our accounting department is now preparing your build sheet and passing this over to our inventory control department so we may allocate the components necessary for your order.

Stage 2: (Inventory Assignment)
A special component bin has been assigned for your order. We then locate components from our inventory and place them inside your component bin. If any components are out of stock, we are then waiting for them to be delivered to our storage center. Once all of the hardware is inside your component bin, it is then placed in queue for phase 1 stress-testing.

Stage 3: (Phase 1 Stress Testing)
Your order is now placed into one of our specialized test benches. The installation of the operating system, drivers and any applications that are specific to the system you ordered are completed here. Our Digital Storm Integration Engineer will also install any demos, benchmark utilities, and burn-in software necessary to correctly monitor your systems performance throughout our burn-in process. Afterwards, we perform a series of grueling tests that push the hardware components in your system to the very limit. This Stage is especially important because it is here where the system either excels or fails. If it does fail, our Digital Storm technicians will identify any problems and replace them before we ship your computer system. If the computer system still does not pass our tests, we will then re-build it with a new batch of components.

Stage 4: (Engineering Lab)
Your order has successfully passed our phase 1 stress testing, it has now progressed into our engineering lab. A specialized Digital Storm Assembly Engineer will carefully put together your order as if it was their own. They have a passion to build every system as if it was their show piece.

Stage 5: (Phase 2 Stress Testing)
Your order has been passed to our final phase 2 stress-testing team. They run a final batch of tests to verify the integrity and stability of your system. This allows us to ensure that every system we ship will be a rock solid machine for years to come.

Stage 6: (Quality Assurance)
Your system is undergoing a very detailed quality control analysis. A Digital Storm Quality Inspector is tasked with inspecting your machine for missing screws, loose cards, checking for special requests, verifying the configuration, and double checking our stress-test results. Our inspectors are trained with an eye for detail and ensure that every system leaves our facility with the art of perfection.

Stage 7: (QA Check Passed)
Your order has successfully passed our stringent quality assurance process. Everything from top to bottom on your purchase has been verified by an experienced Digital Storm technician.

I order my Vanquish on 1/4/2016 and never saw the stages just was told my ordered was processed and would be shipped with in 10 days,and it arrived within ten days.This is such a good computer and such a good company.

My first DS was bought in 2009 it's still going but is showing it's age the case haf932 is still a sharp looking case it had a few hiccups in the eirly years an overclock issue wich DS help get lined out and a video card went bad DS replaced it so though nerve-racking at a couple stages all in all I can't complain about the old beast it's graphics still look better than a PS4 or XBOX 1

I ordered a Vanquish 4 level 3 and tried to check my status each day. Its been on stage 1 since the day I ordered it 5 days ago.

Order# 52197

"Estimated Shipment Date: Up to 5 Business Days (Mon-Fri) from 1/27/2016"

I even paid $150 extra for 2 day shipping so I hope it gets here by the weekend. I tried to call the CS number and it says theres nobody at that extension, sent a message and havent received any reply, live chatted with the CS guy and he says he works from home and cant look up orders and to call the 866 number.

All is well, I got into touch with someone, Jacob I believe it was. The preconfigs dont go through all the different stages like custom configs.

My PC should be shipping today they said, cant wait!

I beg to differ my system is the Vanquish 4 level 4 and after seccond buisness day mine went from stage 1 to stage 6 the next morning to stage 7 that afternoon to Shipped

I also have seen no update to my Vanquish 4 lvl 4 order beyond stage 1 and it has been a few business days. Very poor information dissemination as some forum posts by DS employees say 10-15 days, the website has a general 5-10 days and my PO says priority build ships within 5 days. Please remember that after we finally select a build and order/pay, the next singularly import piece of information is when will it ship. Having such convoluted information only adds to our stress as a customer. If the ship times were more clearly spelled out for pre-built vs custom builds, I think you would not see threads like this one being started if the confusion was eliminated.

Because the Vanquish is pre-built, it does not go through the various stages as the other DS machines. Hence the nomenclature "pre-built". Order, Stage 1, Testing and shipping. The next email you should see with any reliable information is "your machine has shipped".

By the way, I am ~not~ a DS employee, just another Vanquish owner who was fortunate enough to be able to pick up my machine exactly 5 business days after I ordered it.

I did not say I wasn't getting any updates, I said I have not seen anything beyond phase I. I was also not saying that it should be beyond that, but since there is not a lot of certainty on shipping times and such, it is reasonable for folks to ask. Also, since there is a line item in my sales order for priority shipping 5 business days, it is included in my price, and therefore I have that expectation. It is now into day 3 for me and I am wondering if it has actually gone beyond the "payment processed" statement that was pretty much immediate upon me completing the credit card order.

Again, I am not saying anything beyond that the mystery behind the shipping times is what causes the consternation on the part of customers who have expectations based on the sales order info.

I would think that today is the 3rd day since the order was placed early AM Monday (EST) and I received the "order placed" confirmation thus starting the clock (according to your website details) nearly immediately after I placed the order (within an hour so probably when you opened for business Monday AM. So, all day Monday, all day Tuesday, and into Weds (3rd day). If that is not the case, again, I say the expectations are not clear or misleading.

Let me reiterate, I am not unhappy or anything like that. Far from it. I am very please with the process so far. The order process and the website you guys have is much better/user friendly than your competitors. Just trying to make a suggestion to make the experience even better for future orders. Always room for improvement, right?

Correct me if I'm wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time, but is there anywhere in the Vanquish selection or checkout process that mentions build stages?   I believe the increasing irritation being exhibited on the forums is by Vanquish customers Assuming they too have build stages.   Someone posts their displeasure with no updates, even after its explained that Vanquish has no 7 build stages, and others pile on expressing their displeasure.  Just because a number of forum members think they should get the 7 stage updates doesn't mean they will.  Its not DS policy to do it for pre-built, pre configured systems.    

Going forward, I think it would be a great idea for DS to mention in the configurator or Buying process that Vanquish does not give updates as do custom build.  Lately it seems to be causing unnecessary anxiety for those dying to get their rig delivered.  Nobody wants to feel 'forgotten', regardless.
