Topic: Build Suggestions Needed - Sept/Oct build Posted: 08 Jul 2016 at 2:13pm |
Need help on determining my next setup as I am seriously out of touch on tech today. Currently running OC E8500, 6GB Ram, GTX 460SLI, Samsung T260
Budget: Around 7k. Will likely spend 2k on monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset. Expectations: Would like this pc to stay relevent for a few years. LC, SSD, SLI? Usage: Buying this mainly as a gaming rig. In the past I have posted gaming videos to youtube. Browsing, Netflix, Hulu, etc. Will play Battlefield 1, current MMOs. Special Needs: Will jump into gaming @ 1440k. At least until the new 4k monitors are out. will definately wait until at least September to see if any additional 1080 cards or news of any new cards is out. Really like EVGA. Definately will SLI. want to determine if a sound card is necessary. Been playing around with builds. Any suggestions are appreciated and wanted. Really would like the Aventum 3 case though. 1449589 - Saved Config |

TY DST4ME and all of you who keep this community alive. This community tilted me towards Digital Storm building my new pc, when the time comes.
What does everyone think of adding the 3year part replacement for $299? Edited by Boc3phus - 08 Jul 2016 at 5:30pm |

The 3 year parts was what I went with back in 2011. It payed for itself when my graphics card went towards the end.
You do have manufacturers warranty on a lot of parts, 3 years in some cases, but with DS extended warranty, it's one stop fixing. They do it all , saving having to RMA . |

I think the warranty is worth it.
