Topic: Computer Not Booting Up Posted: 24 Jul 2016 at 1:12pm |
I sent my computer back to Digital Storm two weeks ago to be evaluated because I had any issues with my computer booting up and posting power and I got my motherboard replaced. I received it back two days three days ago. It was working perfectly fine and yesterday one of the "you have to restart your computer" for a Windows update came up so I did that, and it took a while for my computer to restart. It shutdown and when I went to turn it back on it wouldn't turn on. I reset the bios, but it did not turn on. I was wondering what the issue may be since it was due to my computer restarting for an update.
Thanks |

If by it does not start you mean it does not power on or powers off quickly then that is probably hardware related, so please explain it wouldn't turn on, if no power at all, it probably your psu.

It doesn't power up at all, I just got my computer back two days from the company after it passed their tests. |

Unplug the PC, hold in the front power on button for several seconds, plug back in and try it.
Make sure the power supply switch in on, thr " I " toggle position. If still nothing, you might have to remove the video card and try it. Also the ram sticks to isolate the problem. Could be the power supply or something shorting it. Unplug your disk drives and see if it boots to bios. Edited by bprat22 - 24 Jul 2016 at 2:42pm |

IF its not turning on at all and you are sure the psu is on itself then its probably the psu if there are no lights on the mobo at all.
Are there any lights on the mobo? Is this outlet the psu is plugged into a good working one, have you tried a different one? Edited by DST4ME - 24 Jul 2016 at 2:52pm |

So you had lights on the mobo, glad you got it sorted, I though you were not getting any power at all.
Our pleasure and good luck |

Hi zbruck,
Glad you got things working. Lets hope the problem doesn't return. What do you mean when you say you "reset" your BIOS? Frank |

clear cmos aka reset bios. This can be done from bios or on the mobo physically. Edited by DST4ME - 25 Jul 2016 at 3:39pm |
