Hi Peerus... I haven't looked into those programs in some time, but my understanding is that the more cores, at a higher clock speed and lots of ram is what is needed.   You probably know better than us.    The gtx 1080 is for your gaming at 2k.    The 1070 will also game on the 2k, but heavier shooters would appreciate the stronger card. Depends what you expect.
