Topic: Configurator Glitching/Can i request EVGA cards? Posted: 02 May 2012 at 11:33am |
I was going to give you guys a update on my build and didnt want to bump up my old thread. However the configurator has glitched on me about 20 times now.... when i add parts instead of increase price it will decrease price and when i get past this glitch and save a build the build glitches and goes to some defaults parts like sabertooth not the deluxe mobo i choose. So i am not sure if i can safely order my pc with these glitches going on......
I also wanted to know how can i or if i can request EVGA graphics cards for the 680 as said in title. One last thing i couldnt remember and tried to dig around but couldnt find it i should ask them to keep the core below 1.4 something and what top fan should i request from them for the half x case. Thanks for your time and help i hated to have to bug all you helpful people yet again. |

Yep, vcore at 1.4 or less and the fan is the Coolermaster MegaFlow 200 Silent non-led 200mm fan. They know what you mean and stock them.
This configurator problem has been around for some time. Somes days it works and others it drives us nuts. Myself and Frank have complained. There are days I have to do manual changes when helping out and refigure the price. I'm not sure of the EVGA question, but you can order yourself and have it sent to them. Maybe if Alex sees this he'll give you a better answer or call DS. Good Luck. Edited by bprat22 - 02 May 2012 at 11:44am |

Yes...Would like to see the final build.
Forgot to mention....A work around for the config problem that sometime works, is to go into Expert Mode right away, even if you don't have to, with first change and do the HDD/SSD first.

Thanks for the trick it worked! Build number is 683226
I think i will be getting this monitor to go with it as well Dell UltraSharp U2412M 24-inch Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor I will only be using one main monitor with a second one (1680x1050) set up just for youtube internet searches or microsoft word. (no more alt tabbing yay!) I dont play shooters just rts, rpg and mmos so i am not sure if i need the second card and if i should pull the second one out and tone down the power to save money. Ode level 4 v2 had a great price i just don't like a white case and some of the parts in it. If the build number is not working let me know. I hope maybe just maybe i can get this in time for d3 i am ordering tonight! Edited by LoneRanger - 02 May 2012 at 1:27pm |

Real nice rig You don't need more than 8gb ram but up to you. For your gaming and monitor a single 680 might do it. Only games like BF3, Metro etc. might tax it at ultra settings. You could try one now and later add yourself if gaming demanded it. Tough choice Either way you put together a nice system. Don't forget the free t-shirt.

The configurator issue is almost resolved. It took our team longer than we expected to find the bug, but, it's almost resolved. Sorry guys for the inconvenience.

Also, we normally carry EVGA graphc cards, if not it's either ASUS or other brands. If you would like a certain card, we can definitely accommodate your needs, you'll just need to contact our team directly about it.

No problem, if it's a custom build, I would go with a 1000W unit if possible.

LoneRanger...If you want to read some reviews on the new GTX690s there is a post in the hardware section on the GTX690s. Near the end one person posted links to 2 reviews and I posted a link to a 3rd.
