I was wondering why I only get 20-25 frames in arma 3 even though I have a i5 4590 and a gtx 970 if anyone could help thanks :)

If i am not mistaken arma 3 is a cpu intensive game and most people who get 60 fps have it on low or medium.

There are a couple of streamers on twitch who play arma 3 and i don't exactly know what their settings are but one gets between 20 to 60 fps usually, depending on the area.

Good information from ArkansasWoman777. You may have your game settings too high for your setup. Have you tried lowering settings. Especially if you are set at Ultra.

Yes I have, I lowered my settings to low - ultra and in a city I still get the same framerate. When I'm not in a city I get 40-60 fps on all the settings.

I'm guessing because there are a lot of straight edges on buildings and whatnot that anti-aliasing is causing some issues.  Turn-off AA, or at least down to a minimal setting, and see what happens.

Depends what mission your playing. I'm assuming these FPS are all regarding multiplayer. A lot of times it's the server trying to push to much on a mission like Wasteland. I only play arma 3 w/ a i7 4690 and 780ti and average 35-45 FPS on multiplayer

Add me on steam I have some launch parameters that helped me a bunch "the skojo"
