Is there any chance that cpu delidding by DS will become an option at some point since Intel seems to have gotten lazy in this department? thx

Doubtful , since it voids manufacturers warranty. Plus DS keeps overclock at moderate levels.

If DS themselves do it then they will put warranty on it, but warranty would be for one year probably/assuming.
