System arrived with <4.2Ghz OC, apparently that's where they hit the wall, they had it set to 34 BLCK x 125 @1.34V... I thought it was a little odd but, hey, it's Broadwell-E... I know nothing about this platform yet...

I been tweaking and getting lucky every time, so far I had not seen a single blue screen... Have been able to boot at 47X!! haven't tried going to 48X just yet... the last chip I had that went that high (47X) was Sandy Bridge......

I'm now doing the ultimate stress testing with real world testing of 4.5Ghz (45x100@ 1.25v) temps are amazing and keeping all my testing at the lowest fan settings which is where I want to be every day....

I'll keep you guys posted with results if you want and screenshots.

Very nice OC. I would be interested in your temps. Trying to see the difference, if any, in that setup in the Velox vs. similiar in the Aventum3.

Here you go.... Keep in mind, the room temperature is ~80 F, kept the door closed on purpose with no AC for worse-case-scenario temperature tests.

Those temps are maxing at ~75 and that's with Intel Burn test completed.

Vcore is now 1.30 because I was testing 46X, but had some issues, probably need more juice to complete benchmarks.

nice 1GHz oc on that chip.  i'd advise running all 3 of Prime's tests next just to confirm stability with different programs.

Nice temps.  For the Velox Hydrolux Pro option, all that cooling (CPU, 2 GPUs) is just routed to the 1 radiator in the top of the case?

I ran one for 3 hours and it was perfect... I need to download the AVX one.

I also ran 3DMark stress test mode and it passed 99.9%, which is pretty amazing.

Yes, I'm impressed. I'm been trying over 20 games and gaming temperatures on lowest fan setting are all mid 60's (the max!).

Yes the radiator is on the top, works perfect for this case, the airflow works amazing sending all the cool air on top as well.... this system is built to perfection... I owned several Alienware systems pre-Dell and a few Falcon NW....this tops it in build quality and case design.

I'm going to work on 46X or maybe try 45X with BLCK of ~110.... not sure yet what works best for Broadwell-E. I hope more people share their results. Share yours :)

I suspect that DS is pretty conservative with overclocks especially since they have no idea when it arrives how hot the external temps are or how the case will be placed for air circulation.

Also it is based somewhat on what stage overclock you bought.

Stage 1 they likely move to around 4.2 and see if it is stable. My gut feeling is that stage 2 is tested around 4.6.

I could be wrong and they could push systems to the top of each bracket and move down.

I just assume the time needed to test and make sure a system is stable it is safer to jump to the middle of each stage and if it is stable pass and ship it like that.

Of course in some systems the middle might not look good and they might move down and in others the middle might look so good that they move up in the overclock.

I am sure Alex could shed more light in how they do it.

In the end I am sure they just want a stable system with a nice overclock that works.

I'm running 45x @ 1.28 now... no issues at all.

for 46X I have to increase the temps way to high 1.46v to be 100% stable... not worth it for 100Mhz.

45X is the swewtspot, and video cards are awesome at +175 core / +575 mem

So got my Velox yesterday, the "overclock" it came with was just someone going into the BIOS and putting XMP on, was at 125 base with 36x at 1.38v. Im about 6 hours into Prime95 testing 4.5Ghz at 1.285v, no issues so far temps are hanging around 58~64C range(Corsair H115i cooler).

I have only have a single EVGA 1080 SC ACX 3.0 currently, its sitting at +125 Core/+425 Memory stable with 100% load temps at ~58C, havent touched the voltage on it yet.

Going to really push this machine over the weekend, will likely see what I have to run for voltage and temps to get 4.6 stable and then try upping the voltage on the 1080 to see if I can get +150 or higher for the core. Since I didnt get cooling on the GPU my OC on that will likely get limited by what the ACX 3.0 can handle.

Awesome! I should try Strap @ 125Mhz instead of 100Mhz, I wonder if we can push it higher....
