If it isn't explicitly calling out a specific model of card, it will most probably be a reference card.

Emphasis on "probably" - Digital Storm sometimes use third-party boards where the exact card model hasn't been specified. For example, my rig came with an EVGA-branded GTX 780 with a non-reference cooler.

If the reference/non-reference distinction is important to you, you could email Digital Storm to ask what's currently in stock and what is most likely to be used in your rig,

Pretty much correct! We generally use reference boards but sometimes opt for non-reference coolers depending on what stock we can get.
