Any one tried this: http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/qaID.asp?tip=6314
I have a 4 core system and wondered if this was true or not.
Thanks

Morning all,
Tried it on 2 of my PCs, DS desktop and my HP laptop. Seemed to work!
Nice little boost that.

had 8 of my forum members try it (they keep their start clean) they noticed no difference, however now you have your vista not booting in normal mode

The only thing this does is make the extra cores kick in faster, If you have 10+ things booting at startup, of course you will see a diffrence, as the computer will be using all the cores instead of one while booting. If you have only a few things load on startup, there will be no diffrence.

I tried it on Vista 32 bit and it made a significant difference. Neat trick!

randy you got too many things starting with your vista, your problem is that your startup list needs cleaning.
@tirnaog, msconfig and see if you are set to boot normal or not? you will see its not. If you should have some problems with your OS, not booting normal can cause further problems, and you would never know, that it was that causing it. |
