Ordered utilizing Affirm finance 12/02/16, shipped 12/22/16; delivered 12/23/16.
CONFIG ID 1544959 Due to the busy Holiday, I have not spent much time on it. I have installed various software and tightened Windows 10 privacy settings. It is a handsome rig.it booted up in a snap. I contacted DS for 2 small items, a game code and an oddity that is discernable in the last 2 pictures. (if I am successful with image posting) I look forward to spending countless hour on this machine. Not just gaming, I work from home through vpn. OMG I can't post images, enjoy your imagination and stock Apollo images from the Products section of this site. Update: I went a different route with the pictures and they are not in the order I had originally envisioned. Apollo unbox Edited by Timeless - 25 Dec 2016 at 11:37pm |

Congratulations and welcome to the DS and the forums. Will try imagining the "oddity".

Congrats and Enjoy.
I also like it in black. Is the oddity the gtx 1070 sitting at an angle ? If so, that does happen with no ill effects, usually . Stress the card with a game just to make sure. Use HWMONITOR to check temps, 70's C normal. Could've been shipping jolts. The cat must love your trains. Thanks for the pics. Edited by bprat22 - 26 Dec 2016 at 2:49am |

Not being water cooled, I would probably have to take it out and .........but that's me, can't help it. Like bpratt22 states, if it ain't broken, don't touch it. |

I agree, hoserator.. If it was me, I would pull it out and make sure the PCie slot isn't cracked, or the alignment isn't more than just looks. The looks, however, would drive me nuts.

OOOoooh... I would have to try to fix it. Too much OCD to keep it that way.
But then again, my big mitts would probably snap it in half. |

Thanks all, yes, the GTX 1070 is the oddity. It seems to be working with no ill effects. The visual does drive me crazy. I'll run HWMONITOR with a session of BF1 to see stressed temps.

It turns out the odd angle of the GTX 1170 was the result of a rough ride. When I took the card out to inspect it, I found it to be warped /twisted and the PCIE slot was warped also. Amazing that it was actually working.
It is on it's way back to DS for the repairs as I type. John S. in DS support took care of me. |

Thanks for the update. Great that it will be fixed. Even if working now, in a few years who knows. Let us know when you get it back.

On 01/10/2017 I drove to Digital Storm headquarters and retrieved my Apollo, fresh from the repair bench. I had decided to not give UPS a second shot at total destruction. I did have to ask for my shipping box though.... it was carried out in a bag. None the less, a new GTX 1070 and a new Asus Z170 Pro, all fixed and running strong!

Very nice! Nothing like removing the shipping middle-man.

Nice. Being able to pull up to their door is a definite plus.
