I was thinking about getting this as it is only $49 extra dollars and seems super convenient to add a little extra storage in the future with some SSDs. I don't have the money for multiple right now, but in the future, I could see myself buying some extra Samsung 850 EVOs. That having been said, I have a few questions.

What is the brand of the one DS uses? Is it reliable?
Will it fit two 500GB Samsung 850 EVOs simultaneously?
Would the heat from two SSDs being installed be a problem? (I wouldn't think so, since they would just be for storage but couldn't hurt to ask.) Thank You.

Don’t know which brand they use. It probably changes depending on supply and deals with who they partner with.    You’d have to call them.

Hot swaps don’t care about capacity.

Drives don’t produce much heat, so my guess is, no problem, unless you really cranked them .
