Hello all! The gpu fan on my eclipse computer keeps banging into the outer side and I do not know what to do. This has been a problem ever since I got the computer. I have can temporarily remove the issue by messing with the screws but it always starts hitting the side. The fan itself seem to be crooked as only one side is hitting the girder. Any suggestions on what to do?

Sounds like you need a new graphics card.   You could try pushing on the middle hub of the fan to make sure it's seated correctly.   This is assuming the fan is crooked and wobbles a bit.

If still under warranty, I would call DS and use the warranty for a new card.

Good luck.

Facepalm. I meant the cooling fan that is near the gpu, not the fan INSIDE the gpu. Sorry for not being clear.

No problem.    Actually the same thing.....try pushing the middle of the fan after removing the panel to make sure the bearing is seated.   It could be just loosening a screw or two removes some flex in the fan housing and quiets it down. Or shimming a corner or two between the fan and the case with shim stock or couple of thicknesses of paper.   You shouldn't have to, but work a rounds , if they work, makes life easier.

Worse case, replace the fan. DS can ship you one or get it yourself at Amazon, etc.   I don't remember the size , but 120mm is my guess.
