DST, you have recommended that people have the fans connected to the motherboards(to control the fans for free). Question: Is there a piece of software you have to install to control the fan levels, or is it easily manageable without any additional software?

You can control mobo via bios which means you can control your fans via bios.

However there are software you can run to control the fans in windows if you like.

Asus has a software called Fan Xpert or you can just try speedfan.
