Hello Digital Storm Forum,
Sorry to bother you with my problem, but I am at wits end, and hope to pick your brain :)

I have a Bolt II that I bought back in Spring 2014, and it has been a great casual gaming rig. But recently I have encountered a problem where upon start-up the fans will go into turbo mode, and the computer won't start up the operating system (not even to Bios), just a blank screen. After a hard reboot the PC starts up just fine.

Things I have tried or at least noticed:
1. Gave the computer a good cleaning to remove any dust, and checked for loose connectors.
2. The problem only seems to occur upon first start-up of the day (or when computer is off for at least ~8 hours).
3. A temporary fix that has since stopped working for me was to either turn off the power-supply switch or unplug the computer.
4. Purchased a new surge protector just in case the old one was failing.

Any advice or suggestions would be most helpful.
Thanks,
Mr Frosty

Try plugging it directly into a wall outlet.

Go into Bios and load Defaults, usually F5, save and exit. The overclock, if you had DS set it up, can cause fail to boot.

Bad ram sticks can cause boot issues.   Remove all but one stick at a time, checking each stick individually.
