Hi HeavyToolbox.    Welcome to the forums.    I can't configure tonight, not at my Pc.   I can tomorrow.   In the meantime, take a look at the ODE level 3. For your budget it is a great deal.    If you want a custom configure your mobo, case, Cpu and cooler are not the best for the buck.        What size monitor and resolution will you be gaming at.    That makes all the difference.   Others may chime in to help, otherwise I be back tomorrow.      Need to sign off soon.

For that monitor and resolution a sli, two gpu, setup is needed to Max out games like BF3,etc.   For gaming on medium and high, a single gpu would do.   Depends on the level of gaming you like.   Your budget could do sli with changes or ODE 3 as is.    Things to think about.         See ya later.

Cool, thank you again. Say I do go for the ODE 3, would that be recommended over the one I have listed above?

This builds is $300 more than ODE 3 for basically the same gaming performance.

What you get with the custom config is a better case for cooling, the HafX......

....a psu, the 1050HX, with a 7 year warranty and more power for future upgrade.

and a better cpu cooler, D14,, very reliable and tops.

You'd have to decide if the added cost is worth it.  The ODE 3"s psu and case and cooler are very good and will definitely do the job, no worries there.

Compared to your build, The ODE 3 gives you sli gtx 570 for the same cost.
Your i7-2700k is no better than the i7-2600k.
Your psu is better rated, but the 800W is good and comes with a 5 year warranty.  The ODE case I would prefer over your pick.  The ironclad would be noisy with the 120mm fans front, top and back.  Larger fans like the HafX and ODE's  200mm fans spin slower for the same air flow  thus less noise.
And the Extreme mobo is lots of $$$ for features you might never use.  You'd have to compare features on Asus website and see for your own needs.  For most the Extreme mobo is just the best but not the most practical.

Check it out and see what you think.   Big%20SmileBig%20Smile

Wow very cool. I would like to keep my budget within the $1,700 - $1,800 range now that some personal issues came about. Can ya help me configure the best parts for that cost while still getting the performance I'm looking for?
Sorry for the bother but I have a limited amount of time I can buy a rig.

And by the way, I've had this PC in mind for a while now. Can ya give me a review on it please?

Hi HeavyToolbox....I understand budget problems. And no bother at all.   For your budget the best way to go is the Dreadnought Level 3 but change cooling from A50 to H100 and overclock to stage 1 or 2.    This build is real nice and still allows you to add a second gpu if you ever feel the need.       The ODE1 is also nice for your $$$, but no real upgrade potential but the same gaming performance.     I don't normally comment on other builders.   Never really checked them out. DS reputation and service has kept me here.    Just me.      Good luck with your decision and feel free to ask for help.
