Hello ,
I need advice from people who have informed opinions. I have a Digital Storm Custom Build from 2012. It still runs nice but I would like to upgrade my GPU from the original EVGA GTX680 2GB to MSI GTX 970ti. Just to be clear I have done my own research but I am in final stage of decision and would like some experienced advice.
Specs :
ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe
i7 3770k OC'd @ 4.4
16GB DDR3
1TB WD Caviar Black
1000w SilverStone Strider

1. Im gaming @ 1080, is this a smart upgrade ?
2. I should be clear of any CPU bottle necking or any compatibility issues?
3.Any Additional advice would be greatly appreciated !!

Thanks ahead of time !!! Alien

Your header reads upgrade to 780ti and the text to 970?   Either way, it is a big bump in performance and worth the upgrade.   The 970 and 780ti are very close in gaming.

No CPU bottleneck for the most part and your system is certainly capable of it.

Looks like a nice move to me.
