I just got a new digital storm Apollo, and i was happy with it for about 30 minutes. then i installed my first game and it refused to recognize that my graphics card even existed. so i though OK the game is a few years old maybe that the problem. installed a new game, same problem. installed another, same problem. looked around forums and support sites for the games and here and still found no solutions, only other people complaining about having had this problem a few years ago with older graphics cards. i'm super pissed off that the first weekend i get to use it for games, this weekend, i cant get anything to play properly, and naturally because its the weekend, all of the support areas of the world are not working.

Can anyone tell me why my computer doesn't seem to realize my graphics card exists? its definitely on, the fans are running. but all anything tells me is that i have intel hd graphics 4600.

Hi LordPeverell... Make sure your monitor is connected to the graphics card ports below the rear fan and not the motherboard ports next to the rear fan.   If you're hooked to the ports near the USB and audio ports then drop down to the video card. Might be plastic caps over some of them.

Hope this helps.

If you're using a vga, blue d-sub, monitor plug then you'll need a vga to dvi adapter.   Video cards no longer have vga.   Might be an adapter in your accessory box.

Does the monitor have speakers? IIRC, HDMI is only DVI with sound and therefore shouldn't be an issue.
