Do you think it will be enough for a 2560x1440 monitor say at 60 hz? It should be a big performance boost from the 670 right?

A 980Ti can handle most games at 1440p without issue, seeing as the 1070 and the 1080 are both more powerful than the 980Ti you should have no problem at 1440p.
