I am looking at what card i want to put in my new rig and seeing as the GTX680 seems to be a mid range card compared to the flagship 7970, i was wondering if you guys had any thoughts the cf 7970 i am looking at are these

ASUS Radeon HD 7970 DirectCU II

The GTX 680 is actually faster than the 7970.

You can OC the GTX 680 as well. Cool

but does DS still cover warranty if i overclock myself with the evga model

We do, however, if EVGA for example does not warrant the overclock at a certain level or setting, then we won't be able to help get a replacement.
