I am pretty much going to purchase my system today but have one more final question and it has to do with the hard drives.

I can go with either one of these setups:

2x 250gb HDs in RAID 0

or 2x 150gb 10k raptors in RAID 0 and a 160gb for storage

Am I going to really see a big difference in having the raptors in RAID 0 over the two 250gb hdds in RAID 0?

or would it be fine to go with one 150gb raptor and another drive for storage something like 160gb

I am using this system primarily for gaming... the total rig will be around $4,500-$5,000

It depends on person to person tastes. I used both types of setups. The Raid 0 setup of Raptor drives always feels more zippy.

If you have the budget for it, get it! However, if you have a low-end video card or processor selected, use that money towards a upgrade for those items. Fast hard drives are nice, but, they wont increase your FPS during gameplay. Only speed up load times.
