Hey guys, I am very thrilled to be purchasing my very first gaming pc this August and I have decided to get a Vanquish level 1. I was wondering if this would be a good choice for games such as the Fallout series, Counter-Strike, and other shooters. Would it matter if the Vanquish level 1 has an i3? Because initially I was looking at both the Vanquish level 1 and the Alienware X51 - and the X51 has an i5 along with a 750ti. Thank you very much for your time :)

The i5 is a quad core processor and the i3 is a dual core, so the i5 is stronger in most tasks. But, the gtx 960 is a much stronger gaming card than the 750ti. For gaming, the i3 with gtx 960 will give much stronger performance over the 750ti.   The processor is important but the graphics card in this case more than compensates.

Vanquish level 1 is the stronger pick, by a wide margin.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Thank you very much, and just to clarify, I can replace the i3 with an i5 anytime right?

My pleasure.    Yes, the i3 is upgradable to i5.

Hi Rektai,

If there is any way you can swing it the Vanquish level 2 is a much better buy. For $200 you get the i5 CPU, a SSD, Upgraded cooling and a bigger power supply. That is a lot of good upgrades for $200.

I would definitely go for a level two if you could afford it.
From what I have read about it, definitely most bang for your buck and a very competitive performance.
