Hi adam2012........DS can pretty much install any ram.

I don't believe the stage 6 cooling is an option with Aventum.

For the money you're spending and their Aventum system, I would recommend talking to DS directly.    A rig like this you want to get right.

This is probably alot more than you need for gaming but the Aventum is a luxury rig for those that demand the best.

Good luck.

I can' t cut/ paste right now on my tablet, but here's a config to check out. It has the stage 6 cooling you asked about and is nice cooling and the 800d case made for water cooling.

Config # 774080      Cost $ 5869

You didn't mention how many monitors in 3D. If triple monitor then this tri-sli gtx 680 will be real nice.   If a single 3D monitor then drop to sli, 2x gtx 680 and adjust the stage 6 cooling to match. You could even go with a 2gb vram cards for a 1920x1080 monitor.

The 1200watt psu is all you need.   The 1050 hx for sli.      And 16gb of ram is plenty for gaming.

I don't 3d game/ movies so can't help with software, etc.

Don't get me wrong, the Aventum is an awesome rig and if its in the budget then go for it.   But the number of monitors and their resolutions determine the video cards you need.

Hope this helps.

DS just came out with the aventum 11   I would wait for that to be available in 1 to 2 months. Just unveiled at the 2013 CES show in Las Vegas 2 days ago. Check it out.
