Here is my DS review:

DECISION TO GO WITH DIGITAL STORM

I saw a bunch of ads for various computer builders in PC Gamer magazine.  I visited the different websites to compare prices and most of all to see what advice and support they had to offer.  DigitalStorm?  What is that?  I always thought inside the box; Dell, Gateway, HP, etc.  I checked out the DS forums to read about the advices on configurations, troubleshooting tips, and reviews from current and future owners.  I even noticed that DS employees would chime in which was a definite plus.  The more I read, the more I became hooked on having DS build my system.  I spent about two weeks of researching the various builds and pricing and decided on this build:

Chassis: Digital Storm 950Si
Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish
Interior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish
Power Supply: 1000W PC Power & Cooling (Turbo-Cool Edition) (Dual/Triple/Quad SLI Compatible)

Motherboard: nVidia 790i Ultra Core 2 Quad (nForce 790i Ultra SLI) (DDR3 Only)
System Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Dominator DHX (High-Performance)
Card Reader: - No Thanks
Hard Drive 1: 1TB Western Digital (7200 RPM) (16MB Cache) (SATA) (Extreme Speed)
Hard Drive 2: - No Thanks
Raid Option: - No Thanks
Hard Drive 3: - No Thanks
Optical Drive 1: DVD±R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 20x / CD-Writer 48x) (LightScribe Edition)
Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks
Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections)
Video Card(s): 2x SLI Dual (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280 1GB) (Includes PhysX Technology)
TV Tuner: - No Thanks
Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio
Extreme Cooling: Liquid Chilled FrostBite Dual Loop System for CPU & Dual Video Cards
Internal Lighting: Blizzard Internal Lighting (Blue Edition) (Cold Cathode Tubes)
Modifications: - No Thanks
CPU Boost: Yes, Overclock the processor as much as possible with complete stability
Graphics Boost: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s)
Memory Boost: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory
Windows Boost: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system
Windows OS: Dual Boot (Windows XP Professional & Windows Vista Ultimate (64-Bit Edition)
Restore Kit: Digital Storm Specialized Recovery System (DVD Image Based)

ORDER DATE: 10/20/08 – DELIVERY DATE: 11/15/08

During the build process, I was informed by Sarah that my mobo was bad and was replaced.  I was also informed by Randy that the PSU I wanted was out of stock; I opted to wait until DS had it back in which was a couple of days.

PACKAGING AND DELIVERY

I received notification that my rig was shipped on 11/11/08.  I received my rig on 11/15/08 (Saturday).  Mind you, DS is in CA and I reside in FL!  When I heard the doorbell ring, I saw it was the FedEx man and he probably thought I was crazy when I had this gleam in my eye and a wide smile on my face.  He probably thought I was going to jump him as I followed him out to his van!  I carried the box in myself, which further confused the poor guy.

My rig was well packaged with no scratches or dents.  The really, really neat feature of the packaging of my rig was the expandable foam inside of the case.  The foam kept my cards from popping out.  I pressed on all of the components and all were still seated fine.  I also received a binder with a copy of my order, warranty info, troubleshooting diagrams, OS and recovery discs.

I hooked up my rig and powered it up with no glitches.  First thing I noticed was none of the clutter you get with the cookie cutter companies; register this and that, etc.

PICS

SUMMARY

If anybody wants a rig that truly stands out from the norm consider DigitalStorm.  Anyone can buy a rig off the shelf, but will you get the personal support which DS provides?  Not to mention current and future owner inputs as well?

DIGITAL STORM TOPS THEM ALL!

Another sweet rig!

Gotta love the TJ09 for its solid construction. Very quiet with a L/C package. Welcome to the club...

Looks to me that your version of the PC/PC 1000w had a couple of 6+2 pins to complete your 8 pin connections.

Must of been an updated version of the PSU, cause mine only had 4 6 pins . seems like urs had 2, 6 pins and 2, 6+2 pins . lucky you.
