Hello,
I just bought an Avon laptop and it is being built. I noticed there is no option to order a docking station when buying a laptop. Is there a generic docking station one can purchase? I plan on hooking up 2 monitors and a wireless keyboard/mouse. I have to take the laptop to wok with me a few days a week and I am trying to figure out if I have to connect and disconnect the monitors each time. Thank you, |

Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of laptop folk showing up on a regular basis. The Avon is built off the Sager 9758, so I would Google it and a docking station to match.
Wish I could help more, but not a laptop guy. |

There is no real custom docking station we have created for this laptop. You can use any generic docking station.

I've had laptops for years and seen only a select few with custom docks. I've always used generic docks or USB hubs. And the current crop of DS gaming laptops all have nice DisplayPort and HDMI outputs, I believe, so you can even get a multi-monitor setup direct from the laptop itself. I run my LG 29" Ultrawide as my main monitor this way and it's been going very well.
What were you hoping for from a docking station? |

Hi Thank you.
This laptop is for work actually and it needs to be transported back and forth. So the purpose of the docking station is to have 2 monitors and the keyboard mouse hooked up to it so I dont have to connect/disconnect daily. I guess I can google a generic docking station and get one. Okay thank you all. I appreciate the input. PS. I am getting a desktop for gaming and I am trying to configure that at the moment, but I wanted something solid for work and DS has not done me wrong yet (unlike Dell and Microsoft). |

Sure we can't convince you to just go with the laptop for everything, including the gaming? |
