My Aventum Review.
I don't review products the second I get them because of that "OMG ITS HERE" excitement often makes you overlook any shortcomings or issues. Now approaching 3 weeks with my Aventum, I feel I'm getting close to the point to writing a fair review. In a nutshell preview, I've had a few issues and some parts replaced, but damn, this is a hellouva machine and DS is relentless with customer support. More to come... Err0xx |

seems like everyone with the aventum either has problems or had problems upon recieving the machine. that is a disappointment, glad you like your rig

I respectfully disagree, we've actually shipped a large number of Aventum systems, and we can't base that entire experience just by looking at the forums. In all honesty, I would say about 10% of our Aventum builds had some issue where a customer has contacted us. Plus, a large portion of the time, the users that come to the forums are the ones that need help with their PC. We do also have customers like all of you that we dearly love, that are active in our community.
I would say that the Aventum a very high-end, and top of the line PC, there are so many variables that can cause an issue to occur, especially when shipping is factored in. However, in the end, any customer that owns a Digital Storm system knows that we're here to help if there are any issues, and in the end, the customer will be happy with their purchase. Given how close the community on the forums is, it can be easy to forget that we only represent a microscopic portion of DS' total customer base.

I can share this much, we see about roughly 15% of our customers on the forums versus orders. But, nevertheless, that 15% that is active are very helpful, and help us in so many ways. We all here at Digital Storm greatly appreciate everything you all do for us.

It's fair to note that unless you actually see an Aventum in person, no photo is going to accurately show just how much is going on in this machine. Sweet God there are so many electronics and safety features in the event on a hardware failure, hardcore liquid cooling components and thermal monitoring hardware. It's amazing that all of this stuff works together so well. Don't get me wrong, I've worked around multi-million dollar corporate servers in my life so I'm not impressed with computers easily. The Aventum has impressed me.
Additionally I have a good notion to believe that some of the hardware failure was related to shipping vibrations/jarring. I'll cover that in the review. l'll have a good and comprehensive review soon within the next week or so, so stay tuned. |

Top of the line my ass. That would place the Aventum on the same line as other machines. The Aventum is clearly ABOVE the line, all by itself. Right now it's the king of gaming rigs. |

My review will come eventually. Those who have seen my other threads know that I had to send the PC back to DS for RMA repairs. The computer had become unuseable. Will post review when I have time to properly evaluate the system and this experience.
The PC arrived at DS Friday, so hopefully they'll get to look at it soon. I'm near the east coast, so it had quite a way to travel back. |
