"Intel's chipset flaw caused the wait, not ds fault but the wait was long and painfull thats for sure"

Ive had the system for 3 days now. On the day it was suppost to come I checked the door every 10 minutes, and no im not kidding either! I was a bit on the edge about having such and expensive item shipped all the way across the country but it arrived with zero damage and im sure happy about that. I unboxed the system in the kitchen, and sat it on the table. I was so impressed at their work and how amazing it looked I must looked it over for a good 30 minutes before I decided to take it down and hook it up. After I got everything hooked up and the system running "with no issues may I add" I did notice a few things which are listed below.

1) Cathrode lights werent working, popped panel off to see a wire not connected.

2) CD/DVD Drive wasent showing in the system, powered down and wiggled the wires and fixed the issue.

3) Windows 7 wasent activated, called digital storm and I guess according to the tech my activation code was linked to the none-revisied motherboard they were using for testing. A quick call to microsoft fixed the issue, an automated voice asked me to read a long code, and then I had to listen for a code to type in and link my activation code to the right motherboard.

4) Not sure if this is just the tech that worked on my computer or what, but when they were zip-tieing my wires up in the back they did it in such a way that it caused a short in one of my connections, so whenever I go to put the panel back on I have to be carefull or my cathrodes shut off. Some of the zip-ties actually got the wires almost completely folded over, think they need to be more carefull and delicate with that in future orders.

Other than that short list of concerns and issues ive had no trouble with my system, I would definatlly buy another if I had the money but it took my 5 months to get the money for this system! This is my 1st real computer, all my others over the years have been from a local retail store.

So far ive only played world of warcraft and rift. In world of warcraft with every possible setting maxed im getting around 350fps while questing and 200fps in major cities at peek player hour, and in heroics I seem to be hovering around 250fps! In rift with every possible setting maxed out im getting 95fps questing and around 45 during a large scale battle! Now take into account these are my highest frame rate peaks, I dont get a steady fps its constantlly jumping around. But ive had no issues yet with my 580 and im glade I went with it!

Below are some pictures of the beast!

Ya it does, I went with a black and red theme which the Asus ROG Logo compliments the build really well as it lights up red when powered on...wish the XSPC Reservoir didn't have a blue led tho, kinda throws the theme off a bit but oh well!

Awesome rig! Strong

Nice o.c. and I love the look of that motherboard, especially with the color choice of cathodes and LC tubing.

Very nice indeed.

@Divine,

Thank you for the great review. I am glad to hear that you are very happy with the system and our company. Thank you also for sharing the issues you ran into as that allows us to improve our product for our customers. I'll look into that with our team and brain storm wasy to ensure some of the things you ran into don't happen again for future customers.

One thing to be aware of, the front grill that is infront of the fan does come off. so that should make things easier when cleaning it.

@staytonc,

Yes, we can defintiely do it. It will be a small special request charge of $20. We'll have to remove the LED and resolder a new one on there for with the correct forward voltage.
