I ordered my Vanquish 3 Level 4 and it is on it's way. I started to read the forums and noticed people reporting that the K380 ALTERNATIVE has a known over-heating issue. Has this been fixed or is it something I need to prepare for?

The K380 has single front fan as opposed the the Default grey 230T having two front and a rear fan. A forum member did complain of cpu temps getting to 90C. DS sent him a rear 120mm fan to install and his temps dropped to 60-70C, I believe.
Call DS and ask them if that was unusual or to ship another fan if temps are an issue. That's the first we'd heard of it on the forums, but does make sense. |

Thanks again bprat. Can you recommend a fan? I may just get one just to be safe and they do not look that expensive.

There's a ton of good 120mm fans out there. I have used the Nexus D12SL-12 Real Silent fans. Lots of airflow and quiet.
The Corsair lineup, like Corsair af120 Silent are popular and have colored rings if you want to add eyecandy. |
