My son last week ordered a DS computer.    A Vanquish level 2 with higher capacity SSD and gtx 970.    He's coming from old Dell, was looking around and all my forum talk over the years steered him in the right direction.    

He also upped his monitor from a 19" 1280 x800 to 24" 1920x1080p.   With the new resolution , bigger screen and gtx 970, he's gonna be blown away.   

Stage 5 as of a day or so ago.

Montana doing some field work - which I do much slower these days Hahaha.

Only have access to the web about once per day. Kind of refreshing really. LOL

I do miss being able to play games above the ultrabook level though. Oops

My son's Vanquish was delivered last night and I setup today in my house to check it out.     Yes, I did give it to him today, even though I was tempted to change the locks and phone number.   

Anyways, as can be expected, it arrived in great shape.    I hooked it to an old Dell monitor, vga to Divi adapter , because I didn't feel like ripping into my ODE setup to route the wires. I did pull the side cover and do some initial checks for any shipping damage or loosened connections. No issues.

Started up in no time, looks great, sounds great and ran like a champ.   He's installing games today or tomorrow so no stress yet.   

It was my first hands on with the remote control LED internals and really liked it.   It also worked as expected and I would definitely consider it for my future build.   

Nice job, DS.   




He gave me two T-shirts with his companies Fitness Together logo for my trouble, like it was any trouble. Silly guy.

Well just got an email from bp's son letting me know that everything in above quote is bs and that bp has indeed kept the pc, changed the locks and phone number.
