So what is everyone running with now? Haven't bought one for 8 years. Mine seem fine so not sure why I need to buy new ones just because I have ordered a new rig.
But just wondering what the best ones for the buck were. Seeing a lot of 150-200 dollar keyboards and 100+ dollar mice. That just seems ridiculous to me. |

I have an old, real old, Dell keyboard and a G700 Logitech mouse. Both work great and get the gaming done.

Yep, not bells or whistles. No lighted keys or better tactile feel but the gaming doesn't suffer IMHO. |

I always thought wireless would be at least a little less responsive. Have always used wired. Not true?

For gaming you wired but for office/regular use I have no complaints.

Out of necessity I just recently held a retirement party for all of my peripherals, including three blind mice (all logitech wireless), a pair of logitech keyboards, an old sony headset, and speakers. After buying a Razer Deathadder (wired), it ate all three of the mice that gave me fits, and I haven't had any issues since purchasing it. The keyboard I bought was a mechanical Corsair Strafe Silent, which is a quieter model of the mechanical keyboards, and I believe Corsair has an exclusive license. The mechanical keyboard is a little different than what I'm used to, but I think it's worth the money in terms of quality and reliability, and also includes custom lighting options and has a usb port. While they weren't cheap (Corsair was $150 and mouse around $50-60), having good peripherals is worth the money if they can last and offer solid performance. |

I actually saw this more so with one of my recent wireless keyboard purchases that was a keyboard/mouse combo. I bought the Logitech combo before looking up online reviews, so when I ran into major input problems with my older pc, I found that a lot of people were having the same problems and that it was essentially a defective keyboard model. You could type something and it takes a second or two before it registers. Made things interesting in games too. The mouse mostly worked fine though not perfect, until I tried it with the new computer I ordered through DS. The mini receivers with both the M535 and M525 mice gave me nothing but problems, and there are no reset buttons. When I use my laptop everything is fine, but my mice are right next to the receiver which helps with the signal. I agree with those that say wireless is fine for office and home use, but when you're in a game the last thing you want is for your mouse to act up, whether it's input lag or your battery needs replacing. |

This. So much this. I had the option to get the wireless xbone controller for the pc and I passed. Since these things are for gaming, everyone one of them is wired. Yea, sometimes it's a pain with the cord and all, but it is better than the consequences of wireless. As for K&M, generic logitech keyboard and a steelseries sensei gaming mouse. |

My G700 is a wired/wireless combo, and I didn't see any difference either way. I finally left it wired just because the battery life is crap.

I have no input lag for regular use/stuff with my logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. Every once in a while for a quick second it may have a little lag plus the battery thing keeps me on wired for games.
