1. Please post your configuration number(Just click Save after completing your configuration and you will the number on your screen).
2. You will want to talk to DST4ME, bprat22, or db188. 3. What do you plan to do with Minecraft. Are you thinking about using intense mods such as shaders? If you could answer these 3 questions it could definitely help us to provide you some help. Edited by Batman34 - 15 Nov 2016 at 10:16pm |

I haven't played Minecraft, but the specs and some reviews I've seen show a game not that demanding for the PC. The Vanquish level 1, good, should have little trouble on a typical 1080 p monitor. Not sure what a heavily modded game would need, so like Batman suggested, that might be a consideration.
For your budget, the Vanquish is about it for a choice. If you plan on any other more demanding games in the future , the level 2 or Better version , has a much stronger video card and more storage. Most of us probably have no Minecraft experience so we were hoping someone else would chime in that have it. |

As Bprat22 said, Minecraft isn't a super intense game. However a shader mod could potentially require a better setup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v71x38JUaog
Just something to take into consideration. Also, are there any other games you are interested in playing? |

Thanks for the feedback. I'm never going use shaders and minecraft would be the only thing I would play. I'm also looking for something to play on that's better than my laptop which cost around $500. On a good day, I can reach 70 fps for a couple seconds. Anyone know what the Vanquish 5 "good" can get it's fps up to? Here is the ticket number: 1523842. If you need anything else, ask

I referred him here since he was looking into the base line Vanquish 5 in another one of the forums. It fits the bill to get the games that he wants to play, Minecraft and Guild Wars 2, but I advised him that possible future proofing is a thing since a game may come along that he might want to play and nothing is worse then realizing your system can't handle it.
In short it should be able to handle those two games no problem, but is it what he wants in the long run? Edited by Kyser13th - 16 Nov 2016 at 3:18pm |
