I have been shopping around and cant decide what to choose. My grandpa works for Hp and reccomended a computer, but I didnt think it would fit my needs. Then my friend is good with computers and thought I should build one, you know, save money. But Im not sure of that either. Basically I want to know if this would be a "bang for your buck" config. Price (with instant savings) $1,636

I wouldn't pay for office software when OpenOffice.org is all you need to do word processing, spreadsheets, database, drawings, flowcharts, slideshows... everything microsoft office does, except it's *free*... and it can read any files made with the microsoft products. I'd use the money I saved on that software to upgrade that CPU.
