My moniter has an issue where whenerver i play a game (used to only be overwatch that did this but has spread to other games) The screen reverses colors somewhat, turning orange to blue and vise versa, purple to red, but not black to white. The cable is connected fully and i reset it. It is the "Asus 24 inch MG248QR Series (144Hz Refresh Rate) (1ms Response Time) (1920x1080)" i got it off digital storm.

I would try another cable. A failing graphics card can also cause monitor artifacts but not necessarily what you described.

If you have another video card laying around try using that to see if anything changes.   Try using your monitor cable plugged into the motherboard’s integrated graphics with video card removed.

This is just to eliminate the graphics card as the issue.

If it is the monitor then try changing its refresh rate, etc in the menu.   If it is the monitor you’ll need to replace it.

Sorry you are having issues with your graphics.

How did you determine it was the monitor. Have you tried the monitor in another system and it does the same? My experience with monitors is extremely limited. I have only had one monitor go bad (in too many years to tell) and it went dark and that was it.

What system do you have running it? Maybe it's not the monitor that is causing the problem.

I hope its not the cpu. Try changing cable and if possible borrow a monitor from a friend and see if it still happens. No way to fix a cpu if it goes bad.

@bprat22: have to get coffee earlier, it takes me too long to correct my typing.LOL
BTW, some mobos have no integrated graphics.

Keep us posted. You might have to contact DS to help troubleshoot.

With the Vega11 integrated graphics try going to AMD website and updating the graphics driver.

If you have one available, plug in a graphics card and try using that just to see if it’s the monitor or the igpu.

My guess is a bad monitor.   Is there a degaussing feature on the monitor?

LOL You are way better and in depth as to solutions  (would have never thought of degaussing the monitor although did a lot of that with tapes) Strong I'm like make sure its plugged in type of solution. LOL

After a bit of searching, i don't believe their is a way to degause (i know that's spelt wrong) my monitor.

I would love to follow your suggestions of try another video card or another monitor or this one on another system, but i'm a 13 yo subsisting solely on an amount of allowance that would let me get something like a new monitor or video card once every 2 years.

I'm mostly stuck with things i can do virtually, But ill see if i have another cable lying around.

Call DS and have their Tech support run down the issue. After all if you got everything through DS there is a warranty, no?

Good luck.

We recently had another with an issue where updating the Vega11 drivers fixed it, that’s why we recommended the update a few posts back.     Graphics drivers can simulate all kinds of hardware issues, from monitor, to graphics card, etc.

Congrats.

Nice that your issue is resolved. What happened to my monitor once was that the connector port on the monitor where the HDMI plugs in was damaged at it gave out weird colors.

I got the port replaced and it still works fine.
