Hows it going, having an issue with the motherboards available for the Apollo system, every motherboard has poor reviews, is there any reason why there is so few options? ASUS motherboards have really poor reviews, not sure why but doesn't make me comfortable buying a system with a weak motherboard. Any reason why there is no option for an MSI/ASROCK motherboard? Thanks, appreciate it.

Every motherboard is going to have all kinds of reviews whether it be good or bad. Some people will have issues, some won't.

As far as DS not having an option for MSI/ASROCK maybe Alex can shed some light on that

Might have to do with who they get in partnership with.

Like Arkansas said, Alex would have to reply.

Hi giants84,

Where are you reading these poor reviews for every Asus motherboard? Most negative reviews that I read about any motherboard is by someone building their first computer. They have limited experience and limited knowledge.

DS is in the business of selling custom built computers and their business is built on satisfied customers. Do you really think they could survive using subpar motherboards? They have personnel who knows how to test motherboards and eliminate defective ones. It cost them money when they find a defective motherboard and have to return it to the manufacture. If the Asus motherboards were inferior DS would not be using them. DS sells hundreds of computers every year but we only see a few reports about defective motherboards on this forum.

DS offers Asus and Gigabyte motherboards. Just because they don't offer a specific motherboard that you might like doesn't mean they don't offer good motherboards.

Thanks for the reply guys, the bad reviews are on newegg/amazon and other sites where people buy the parts. Maybe they have issues because they build their own pc, that's why I don't want to bother with it myself lol.

ASUS and Gigabyte both make great motherboards. We tend to offer options we feel confident and proud to sell to our customers as we have to offer a warranty and lifetime support.

Most of it's probably user error or they don't like the features. There is usually always someone pointing out the flaws and stuff of items
